New shopping style coming oct 16 to Detroit area

For the first time in Detroit The Mercantile will bring a touring retail market event that blends commerce, cause and community to the Russell Industrial Center on Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 8 p.m. Created by former metro Detroiter Matthew Ford, The Mercantile takes a different approach to the typical shopping experience by showcasing local and national cause-based retail brands while giving attendees access to live entertainment and food and beverage options. Music for the event will feature Nashville-based pop funk/soul band The Shadowboxers, while Dine Drink Detroit will feature food vendors. The Mercantile’s exclusive design was created by former HGTV lifestyle personality Emily Henderson and includes custom-made maple wood and copper vendor booths.
